Responsibilities:
SUMMARY :

Assist Revenue Audit Management in the daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting of the casino operation’s assets, liabilities, capital, revenue and expenses. Provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts; preparing journal entries and various accounting related tasks as assigned. Applies principles of accounting under the guidelines of the Generally Accepting Accounting Principles (GAAP) and compliance with Seminole Tribe Of Florida (STOF) Gaming regulations in all procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Including, but not limited to the following:
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions. Accumulated information is reported on periodic financial statement and statistical reports in the required format.

Assists supervisors in the performance of a high level review of the casino audits, jackpots, unclaimed jackpots, W2Gs, 1099s, 1042s, and Ticket Vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement and provides daily control log to Revenue Audit Supervisor/Manager of completed audits and any significant variances necessitating investigation. Assists supervisor/manager with investigations and works closely with department heads and compliance management.

Recommends modifications and updates to current accounting procedures that will enhance and support the daily audit procedures of casino accounting operations. Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents. Devises and implements system for general accounting and audit preparation of worksheets to include analyzing audit spreadsheet enhancement to more effectively reflect the daily operations of the Cage, Slot, and Table Game activity for purposes of reporting casino revenue.

Completes balance sheet account analysis and reconciles Cage/vault. Balance W2G and Jackpots with staff account completing bank reconciliation.

Assist Supervisor/Manager in the annual preparation and filing for W2Gs, 1099s, and 1042s.
Work with the uniform chart of accounts using the guidelines of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Maintain knowledge of the STOF Gaming regulations as well as Seminole Casino Immokalee internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • While performing the duties of this job, team member is regularly required to stand, walk, and demonstrate high-mobility for a majority of the shift.
  • Will also regularly: speak and listen to internal and external customer directions or orders in an atmosphere of varying background noise; transit across surfaces that may alternate between carpeted and hard surfaces; walk through slippery surfaces and/or sloping floors or stairs; use hands to finger, handle or feel small objects such paper or cloth; and reach with hands and arms overhead and from side to side.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception. Will often transit between brightly lit and dimly lit areas, including flashing lights and computer or TV screens.
  • Position requires bending, lifting and carrying supplies and equipment up to 20 pounds, will be required to use, push and pull wheeled hand-carts or other equipment weighing in excess of 100 lbs.
  • Will regularly bend, stoop, kneel, and twist at the waist. May occasionally be exposed to bodily fluids, pet or service animals, and strong odors.
  • Will regularly be exposed to tobacco and other second hand smoke.
  • May occasionally use de-escalation techniques to resolve customer conflict.
  • Will be required to assist in customer evacuation in case of emergency.
