Job Responsibilities

• Verifies quantities, purchase order numbers, signatures, ledger account numbers, and other items.
• Sends invoices to the appropriate department to complete a check request when needed.
• Ensures check request is signed by the authorized person and within authorization limits.
• Monitors receipt of processed paperwork and follows up if it is not returned in a timely manner.
• Inputs invoices into the Accounts Payable Tracking System including invoice number, expense account, due date, and other required information.
• Reconciles all vendor statements with the oversea Finance Department.
• Processing payments, and verifying invoices for port/terminal/rail/SSL.
• Files backup documents for payments.
• Researches any discrepancies related to the invoices and payments.
• Responds to Vendor questions via phone or in person regarding check request submissions, general ledger accounts, and general accounts payable inquiries.
• Receive and track incoming payments and enter them against the correct invoice/client.
• Invoicing customers: sends invoices and statements, Posts bills, and submits for payment
• Audits shipment job files daily, ensuring timeliness and accuracy completion of shipment jobs
• Other accounting duties as requested

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or another related field

· Previous experience as a Staff Accountant, Accounting Clerk, Accounting Assistant, or another related role

· Experience in freight forwarding industry or logistic industry would be a big plus

· Attention to detail with the ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects

· Proactive and positive attitude

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Proficient in English and Mandarin is a plus
