Job Description: Bookkeeper/Jr. Accountant
The Part-time Bookkeeper/Jr. Accountant is a key member of Greenlight’s Operations and Finance teams and will report to the Controller. The position will be primarily responsible for helping with bookkeeping and banking related duties - AP, cash management, reconciliations, coding.
A successful candidate must be able to show proven success in accounting, being able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment and show great attention to detail. People who find success are self-starters who can adapt well to changing responsibility and workloads while maintaining positive relationships with executives and team members.
Responsibilities will Include:
- Help the restaurant managers with payroll and vendor management
- HR management
- Perform recurring monthly bookkeeping duties
- Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies/procedures and systems
- Provide support on other finance and accounting projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ months. While we would love someone with years of experience, we would love someone who is eager and early in their career who wants to come and make an impact
- Organized in the way you document and support your work
- Highly driven and self-motivated
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
- Skilled in Excel and accounting systems
- Understanding knowledge of the Google Suite of products
Preferred Qualifications:
- Quickbooks or Restaurant 365
- Restaurant management or food service experience
