Job Summary:
Ingersoll Rand's Integrated Technologies Sales & Service Team is hiring new Account Managers to join their team! In this role, you will be responsible for driving the "General Line" (greater than 50HP) compressor equipment sales and service activity. Traveling in a defined geographic area (see below), this includes quoting, strategizing, prospecting, and developing relationships to achieve revenue targets, maximize profits, increase market share and maintain customer loyalty while achieving organizational goals. The position is a unique blend of supporting a major distributor and selling direct to customers.


We are currently hiring General Line Account Managers for the below territories, each reporting remotely out of a different Customer Center:

  • Montgomery, AL south into the western FL panhandle (Moody Customer Center)
  • East Nashville and south to Murpheesboro and (Nashville Customer Center)
  • Eastern Tennessee south to northwest corner (Dalton) of Georgia (Chattanooga Customer Center)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for generating sales of equipment, service contracts, and service offerings with our direct end users and partners selling to a defined customer base within a geographic area.

  • Provide and design compressed air solutions to fulfill industrial customer needs, including compressed air equipment, accessories, turnkey installations, service, parts, service, rental equipment and energy audits.

  • Provide selling skills and product/services training for dealer sales personnel (as required) as well as personnel within customer center.

  • Ensure adherence to safety rules (vehicle safety, customer site safety) in the field, as well as in the customer center.

  • Travel up to 25%



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in an industrial sales business setting. Knowledge of Salesforce preferred.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years; Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years. #LI-SS1
