Why This Job

Be an integral part of the Account Based Sales Team! Proactively create beneficial relationships with existing and new accounts within the renewable energy sector. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing an annual business plan for the promotion and sale of Tensar Solutions with an emphasis on InterAx value-added applications dedicated to the renewable energy industry.

What You'll Do

  • Assist and support the qualification of Tensar proprietary systems by successfully implementing bid strategies to close business
  • Educate and promote alternate bid strategies incorporating proprietary Tensar solutions
  • Build and Maintain Customer Relationships – earning their trust and preference by meeting their needs
  • Cultivate lasting relationships with customers to enhance loyalty
  • Represent Tensar Engineered Solutions on assigned jobsites during installation and ensure installation is being performed as designed
  • Develop strategies to meet or exceed departmental cost benefit goals, objectives , and compliance forecasting measurements
  • Generate monthly reports to the Area Director to track key projects in each sector and forecast sales for manufacturing
  • Participate in industry organizations, trade shows and other events
  • Develop deep market knowledge to help direct company strategy in existing products as well as new products

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 5 years' Engineering and Sales experience
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient at gathering market data along with negotiating, closing, and follow-up of sales orders while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritizing, and time management skills
  • Initiative and drive in pursuing customers and building long term working relationships
  • Must have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the business and work with all levels in the organization

Your Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
  • Master's Degree preferred in Business or Engineering
