Account Manager Job at Cabell Huntington Hospital/St. Mary
Under the direction of the Director of Business Services or authorizeddesignee, the Patient Accounting Manager is primarily concerned with thecoordination and supervision of the billing and third-party collection operation. The Patient Accounting Manager is also responsible formaintaining current knowledge of third-party reimbursement procedures andcollection regulatory requirements.
Requirements:EDUCATION:
High School graduate with broad proven practical experience in accounts receivable management, in the healthcare field. Bachelor's degree in Business preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Four to six years of office management and healthcare accounts receivable experience, two years in a supervisory position required.
SKILLS:
Must be able to supervise and coordinate the billing and collection operation of patient accounts. Must have oral and written communications ability to deal with other institution departments andto train and supervise personnel. Familiarity with data processing capabilities and procedures isstrongly preferred. Must have window system skills. Must have the ability to perform a varietyof duties, ranging from direct involvement in various procedures to coordination of activities ofmany subordinates.
