This is an AmeriCorps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. One of Washington Youth Soccer Foundation's program - Soccer for Success - aims to give access to soccer and mentorship where there are limited or nonexistent opportunities. Our goal with Soccer for Success brings positive role models together to build a stronger community around under-resourced areas, giving youth a chance to thrive, by using a soccer as a tool. The main pillars of Soccer for Success are Physical Activity, Mentorship, Nutritional Education, Community Engagement, and Safe Spaces. We believe that sports have the ability to aid in social change, and can bring communities together.



Member Duties : The Program Lead will research needs in various target areas, serving to implement new goals, while tracking and recording progress. They will be instrumental in building relationships with partners, families and kids. While learning and aiming to understand communities better, the Program Lead will create and facilitate events to support and add resources around the sites. Daily, they will attend practices to support staff, make sure all site needs are met, and add to the player:coach ratio for additional mentorship with players.
