Founded in 1884, Webster House is a children’s home located in Manchester, NH, whose mission is to provide a stable living environment to children and young adults between the ages 8 and 21 who are unable to live at home for an undetermined amount of time. Our goal is to prepare residents for success within and outside of our program in collaboration with the family, the program, and the youth.

Webster House is a safe and supportive home that provides a structured routine that helps youth thrive. Webster House also provides the atmosphere in which healthy adult-child relationships are created, nurtured and rebuilt. Within this structure, the direction, kindness, and commitment of caring adults can help improve outcomes for the youth we care for, their families and our Manchester community.

Candidates must be hard working, passionate about working with youth, are extremely patient and have a professional work ethic. Applicants will be working with male and female residents between the ages of 8- 21, modeling that kindness and commitment of caring adults can help improve the lives of New Hampshire youth who live with behavioral, truancy and/or delinquency issues, or come from situations of abuse and neglect.

Requirements:

- A minimum of an Associates degree in a Human Service related field, Bachelor's Degree preferred.

- 2 years of professional experience in a Human Service related field.

- Ability and willingness to pass a driving and criminal background check.

- A valid driver's license and willingness to transport residents in program vehicles.

- Are at least 21 years of age, per state licensing requirements.

- Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and evenings

Responsibilities:

- Supervise and ensure the safety of all residents in the program.

- Role model strong interpersonal skills, teaching the residents appropriate social skills and what healthy coping skills and relationships look like.

- Teach the residents daily living and life skills, to develop a solid foundation of independent living skills.

- Transport and support resident activities and appointments in the community on a daily basis. This may include medical and mental health appointment, shopping trips, hikes, movies, beach trips, etc. We also provide the kids with opportunities for longer community activities like camping trips, trips to the cape, amusement parks, among others.

- Maintain appropriate boundaries while developing and nurturing professional relationships.

- Provide supportive counseling to residents while teaching valuable coping skills and self regulation skills.

- Provide educational support to residents as needed and assist with school transportation.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
