Young Adult Ministry Office Coordinator Job at The Archdiocese of Baltimore

The Sisters of Bon Secours, located in Marriottsville, Maryland, seeks candidates for a Young Adult Ministry Office Coordinator. This is a full-time position. Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work required. Must be vaccinated for Covid-19 or willing to receive the vaccine.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scheduling appointments, maintaining an events calendar, and sending
    reminders.
  • Overseeing database and records management.
  • Managing the bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
    functions.
  • Managing, coordinating, and processing mailings, newsletters, and
    correspondence.
  • Overseeing posting and updates to some web and social media internet
    sites.
  • Managing travel arrangements.
  • Assisting with coordinating meeting preparation (both domestic and
    international), especially in regard to the International Bon Secours Young
    Adults Committee and International Bon Secours Young Adults Advisory
    Board.
  • Recording, editing, and maintaining general meeting and Committee
    meeting minutes and follow-up task lists; posting agendas, supporting
    materials and information.
  • Communicating with translators for documentation of international
    meetings, verbal translation at meetings, and other translation needs.
  • Planning, purchasing, and maintaining inventory of office supplies and
    promotional materials.


Job Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Qualifications:

  • A Cover Letter is required
  • Associates degree and three (3) years of administrative/office experience or a bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience – in certain
    circumstances need for degree may be waived based upon number of years of experience and skills acquired on-the-job.
  • Knowledge of Catholic faith and practices, with ability to understand and
    articulate a commitment to the charism, mission, and values of the Sisters of Bon Secours and Bon Secours Young Adults.
  • Experience managing social media and website content.
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel,
    PowerPoint, Publisher (or comparable desktop publisher), and Outlook.
  • Experience working with bookkeeping software, accounts receivable,
    accounts payable, and balancing checkbooks and bank statements.
  • Reliability, stability, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience working in an ecclesial ministry setting preferred
  • Experience with Directors Desk or comparable online governance programs, preferred.
  • Ability to speak and write in French and/or Spanish, preferred
