The BBQ in the Vineyard at Lake Chelan Winery is seeking a positive, reliable Winetender to add to our already great team as we gear up for the upcoming busy summer season. The ideal candidate can craft great experiences for our guests in an outdoor working vineyard and restaurant. The position involves greeting guests, inputting food and beverage orders, pouring wine and beer, cleaning and bussing tables, running food, stocking and restocking needs for the restaurant, and generally making the whole place go. Great BBQ food, our own craft wines, and the open-air atmosphere are the stars of the show. Shifts are mostly 4:00-10:00 p.m. every night of the week starting in June. Open availability and willingness to do a bit of everything puts you at the top of the list. Compensation includes wage and tips.
Responsibilities
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve fod and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar and restaurant inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Skills
- Resume and proven working experience in restaurants
- Requisite ability to pour alcoholic beverages
- Computer literacy
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Relevant MAST certificate and Food Handler's card
