Valdese Weavers is looking for new associates to join our growing team on 1st and 2nd shift in our Winding department. Must be able to gain and maintain a forklift license, no prior experience needed, we will train and certify you!

Essential Functions:

• Assist with waste collection of cones, cardboard, and trash from the Winding Department.
• Meet deadlines and production quotas.
• Move yarn from the Dye Department Unloading Area to Winding Staging.
• Dispatch yarn to specific winding machines based on logistics/planning priorities.
• Provide timeline with respect to complete priority yarn dye lot required by Logistics to verify customer delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Safety:

• Report all job related injuries to the supervisor immediately.
• Report any safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Actively participate in safety programs, which identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by the company.
• Hearing protection in high noise areas, safety belt when using cherry picker, seat belt or fork lift, other as needed to do an assignment safely, etc.

Qualifications:

• Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.
• Ability to discern between different colors and shades.
• Must be able to operate powered equipment.
