The Stafford of Lake Oswego is looking for an energetic person who is dedicated to the health of our residents.
Responsibilities:
Wellness Coordinator works in our Life Enrichment program, this position will support LE manager and be responsible to coordinate, plan, organize and oversee all aspects of health & wellness including hired contractors and prepare a monthly calendar of daily activities along with monthly wellness articles.
Health and wellness coordinators may also be responsible for developing and implementing new initiatives or programs that can improve the overall health of this community. This might include anything from creating an exercise program, planning, organizing & executing health & wellness events, classes & seminars.
A health and wellness coordinator typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include time management, marketing, being able to promote their community’s health and wellness programs and encourage residents to sign up and participate. Public speaking is a necessary skill as they often give presentations and teach classes.
Qualifications:
- Interacts with older adults with integrity, kindness, and insight to assist with their wellness needs.
- Injury/fall prevention, first aid and emergency procedures
- Ethics and professional standards
- Displays excellent customer service and communication skills
- Preferably to have a nationally recognized certification in Senior Personal Training with an additional three (3) years’ experience working with older adults.
- Certified and ability to teach a group exercise class
Licenses & Certifications
Preferred- Food Handlers Card
