Mechanical Fabricator

$18 - $22 an hour

Now hiring entry-level and experienced welders, mechanics, and fabricators. We provide on the job training and are looking for people with a positive attitude who are eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Fabricator, you will operate manual hand tools, while using processes such as, GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, and FCAW. In this role, you will perform lay-outs, fabrication, insulation, installation, painting, and plumbing. You will also be responsible for inspecting work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces with straightedges, or templates to ensure conformance to specifications.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Read, and interpret plumbing schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery, such as saws, drills, and grinders.
• Willing to travel out-of-state or internationally

Experience, Education, and Physical Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year welding and fabrication experience, or currently enrolled in welding training courses (College of the Canyons, LA Trade Tech, or graduates from other welding programs are encouraged to apply).
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Able to pass a drug, physical, and criminal background check.
• Must hold a valid, and current California drivers’ license.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Regular use of a variety of both hand-held and motorized tools and machinery is essential.
• Able to stand for long periods of time is essential.
• Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important.
• Lifting to 50 pounds is required.
• Good manual dexterity for the use of common tools and machinery is required.
