Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Welder for a company based in Fayette, AL. Welders will use jib cranes, overhead cranes, slings, or manual lifts, and move components into proper position. Your role will be to assist in the growth of this company by utilizing your amazing welding skillset. Apply today!

Pay Rate
$16-$22 per hour

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 5:00 pm.

• Welder Duties and Responsibilities

Lay out, position, and align truck body components using work orders.

• Clamp and/or tack weld parts to secure in position for welding
• Using a wire-feed welder, join components ensuring quality weld
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned.
• Floor Prep – Cut floor to proper spec, use overhead crane to transfer floor to flip table, use overhead crane to position frame on top of floor. Line frame up with floor and weld.
• Tailgate Weld-Out - Using jib boom, move tacked tailgate onto fixture. Complete welds. Weld appearance is very important. Move completed tailgate onto roller bed.
• Latching tailgate and Dump Apron Installation-Install latches per order specifications; latch to order specifications; Install dump apron to order specifications and weld.

Welder Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Familiarity with the welding process preferred. Demonstrate ability to operate MIG welder, with or without training.
• Lift and carry up to 45lbs.
