Job Summary:

Warehouse personnel, also known as shippers, are responsible for assisting the Warehouse Managers in finding, locating, and selecting product for all inbound and outbound loads. Warehouse Personnel will locate product on foot and with the use of forklifts. Warehouse Personnel are integral to ensuring the correct product is shipped by designated and scheduled trucks.

Job Duties:

  • Pallet Jack boxes to lines when needed
  • Assist Warehouse Managers with pre-staging P.O’s received
  • Assist Warehouse Managers by locating product for a scheduled load
  • Assist Warehouse Managers by selecting product to be loaded onto designated truck
  • Check to make sure selected skids have the correct tag, matches the product requested prior to loading and unloading
  • Ensure that product is loaded on designated trucks safely, accurately, and to exact customer specification
  • Assist Warehouse Managers with completing required paperwork once the load has been completed
  • All paperwork must be completed prior to beginning a new load
  • Participate in Inventory Counts as required

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring forklifts are charged after each use
  • Responsible for pre-check of all forklifts prior to use
  • Accountable for driving forklifts responsibly and in a safe manner
  • Responsible for re-certification of forklift license
  • Responsible for the personal safety of oneself as well as others while operating forklifts and loading and unloading trucks
  • Ensure production is placing completed skids in designated areas and informing Warehouse Managers when there is any deviation
  • All leaning, falling, and damaged skids or product must be brought to the attention of the Warehouse Manager or Assistant Warehouse Manager immediately
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for all team members and ensure compliance with safe work practices
  • Responsible for food safety and quality
  • Shall carry out the company’s food safety, food security, and food quality policies, programs, and procedures to the best of their abilities
  • Shall immediately report food safety, security, and quality problems to management staff so that appropriate action may be taken

Skills and Abilities:

  • Forklift certification
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving ability
  • Excellent Oral and Written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Need to be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques

Equipment:

  • Stand-up and Sit-down forklifts and pallet jack
  • Ear-plugs available upon request and orange safety vest required
  • Steel toe footwear must be worn at all times within the plant and it is owners responsibility to maintain in good condition

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Warehouse environment preferred
  • High school or Equivalent preferred
  • Forklift experience and/ or certification

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 - $17.70 per hour
