Position title: Warehouse Supervisor

Reporting to: Warehouse Manager

Location: Eddystone, PA

About the role

Under the direction of the site Supply Chain Manager, the Bean Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising all activities related to reception, handling, warehousing and shipping of cocoa beans, externally and internally. They are responsible for inventory accuracy: conducting reconciliations, leading cycle counts and audits and report and explain inventory variances as well as monitor the flow of goods and reporting to management risks and opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervises inventory accuracy in external warehouses
  • Manage in-house bean inventory
  • Supervises inventory cycle counts
  • Constant improvement of internal controls in order to mitigate losses and non-conformities
  • Supervise semi-annual inventory wall-to-wall audits
  • Conduct SAP transactions to ensure all material movement and disposition is properly recorded
  • Monitor and train people to ensure all material movement transactions are properly recorded in SAP
  • Reports and explain all inventory variances
  • Ensure integrity of data
  • Supervise inbound and outbound preparation within sites and receipt of goods
  • Validates outbound shipments for quality and accuracy to prevent customer complaints, ensuring on time delivery
  • Coordinates all warehousing activities with the following groups: Sourcing, Planning, Transportation, Production, QA, Finance
  • Assure best possible relationships with vendors, building processes, improving communication and setting goals
  • Day-by-day follow-up of quality of the product flow: traceability, QC-plan, records
  • Must promote a safe working environment following the plant safety policy and good GMP’s
  • Committed to providing a safe food product.
  • Works within all regulatory requirements

Education:

Bachelors in Supply Chain Management or other related field

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years in warehouse operations with emphasis on the food industry desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel
  • ERP or related experience needed, SAP experience is a plus
  • Ability to work independently, and to meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
