Star Equipment Services LLC is looking for a experienced Bilingual (English & Spanish) Warehouse Assistant / Forklift Operator.

We are a Miller Electric, Hypertherm, Thermal Dynamics and Lincoln Welder certified repair facility. Our quick response times and stellar customer service has propelled our reputation as the number one facility for timely professional repairs.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Receives deliveries and verifies against delivery ticket to ensure accuracy.

2. Reviews, sorts, loads and unloads incoming welding machines.

3. Monitors inventory levels of supplies and informs of restocking needs to ensure appropriate levels of inventory.

4. Assist employees in obtaining parts they need for their work orders.

5. Loading and Unloading the machine deliveries from trucks.

6. Maintains a clean and safe warehouse and loading dock.

7. Assist Technicians with decontaminating equipment and have it ready for mechanical repairs.

8. Prep machines for technicians to start the repairs. (Ex. Opening up, degreasing and gathering required parts)

9. Keep up to date with product knowledge.

10. Assist with clean up and deep cleaning of machines

11. Assist technicans with organizing of the shop(ex. organzie equipment & paperwork)

12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Marginal Job Functions:

1. Operates forklift outside of the warehouse.

2. Assists Technicians in putting stock away as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

1. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

2. Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues.

3. Ability to express ideas effectively and concisely.

4. Ability to work effectively in a service oriented environment and with frequently changing priorities.

5. Ability to follow through and carry out assignments.

8. Knowledge of proper and safe use of tools, lubricating chemicals etc.

9. Knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in area(s) of specialty.

10. Ability to fill out work orders

11. Basic computer skills.

12. Understand how to use the bar code scanner to scan identified parts in and out of inventory.

13. Ability to operate a forklift.

14. Ability to work independently without constant supervision.

15. Knowledge of basic inventory practices.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

1. Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull a variety of tools, equipment and materials.

2. Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs.

3. Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch.

4. Exposed to wet and very hot conditions.

5. Exposed to noise and vibration from operating machinery.

6. May be required to work in confined areas to access equipment.
