Warehouse Associate

We are a mid-size natural hair business looking to hire a Warehouse Associate to assist with our daily operations. You must be meticulous and extremely detail oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and capable of multitasking.
You will report to the Operations Manager and help oversee warehouse processes to ensure smooth flow.
The ideal candidate should have:
- 3+ years of prior warehouse experience
- 2+ years of picking/packing experience
- Experience operating a pallet jack and pallet lift
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic math skills
- Proficiency reading, writing and speaking English
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Stamina to stand for long periods of time
- Communicating with coworkers to provide and receive direction
- Clean criminal background check and drug test
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Receiving and checking of incoming orders
- Order picking, packing and processing (e.g. wrapping pallets)
- Verify accuracy of shipments via visual check of quantities and identification
- of products
- Perform inventory cycle counts
- Check inventory levels of bulk products and replenish as needed
- Maintain a clean warehouse
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Maintain warehouse equipment
- Assist with special projects as needed
- Order picking is estimated to be 75% of the job, other warehouse duties to be 25%
- Load and Unload trucks
- Perform other duties as assigned
Our office is located in Chicago, ½ north of the United Center just west of Fulton Market
Working hours 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday-Friday
