Joining Mercury Security, part of HID:

Located in Long Beach, California, Mercury Security is a global leader in the supply of OEM access control hardware. “Merc” has an installed base of 4 million control panels worldwide and has been providing enhanced access control technology to its valued partners since 1992. HID acquired Mercury in 2017, and integrated Oracle in 2021. The operations team aims to improve its supply chain operations in 2023 with a dedicated warehouse associate for incoming and outgoing products.

As our Warehouse Associate, you’ll support HID’s success by:

• Verifying the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list
• Examining incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items, and appropriately reporting and recording any discrepancies
• Communicating to customers to arrange deliveries of goods
• Ensuring equipment is operated safely in work area and that employees abide by safety guidelines and PPE requirements

What we will love about your background:

• Ability to work well under pressure and ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
• Prior experience communicating with suppliers and customers, internal and external
• 1-2 years of warehouse and distribution experience

Your Experience and Education include:

• High school diploma GED, or equivalent education is required
• The ability to move or list up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Experience with shipping software such as FedEx Manager, UPS WorldShip, DHL or any other carrier or Freight Forwarder.
• Working knowledge of Oracle and Agile platforms

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At HID, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The base salary for CA is $34,700 - $37,502.
