VP, Business Solution Architect

This position reports into CUO of Commercial Insurance. The individual will partner with the senior business and operations leadership within Commercial Insurance to understand the business strategy and design an effective operating model, overall Solution architecture and processes. They will also partner with IT to provide the applications and infrastructure to support the operating model and process.
Responsibilities include:
Understanding the business strategy and designing complementary operating models and processes.
Keen ability to take business strategy and system needs and functionality and effectively translate and build system requirements
Initial focus will be on CI Digital platform and product.
Developing and maintaining strong collaboration with Business Leadership including U/W, Operations, Marketing and other key functions.
Analysis and design of business capabilities and functions that include People, Process, Partners & Technology
Product Owner within agile implementation responsible for overall Epics, Features and User Stories that represents system functionality; are required to support business functions and their associated benefits.
Designing, sequencing and executing business projects to advance the business strategy and business architecture
Working with business teams to form ideation of business projects and translating into solutions, working closely with IT to ensure the outcomes are being built correctly.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with Senior Business, IT and Operations Leadership.
Driving execution of the business strategy within IT and building investment proposals for the business in collaboration with IT
Oversight for Solution analysist and business SMEs on project work
Designing, sequencing and executing business projects to advance the business strategy and solution architecture
Driving the business strategy within IT and building investment proposals for the business in collaboration with IT
Skills and Qualifications:
A broad business unit view of the business and appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
Deep knowledge of CI systems and functionalities
Ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies. Those issues may exist in role alignment, process gaps and overlaps, and business capability maturity gaps
Ability to apply architectural principles, methods, and tools to business challenges
Ability to visualize and create high-level models and diagrams that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture
Extensive experience planning and deploying either business or IT initiatives (preference for both)
Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations
The ability to act as liaison conveying between the business unit and their counterparts within Information Technology including business requirements, data constraints, business rules, processes and accountabilities
Must be a Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.

The pay range for the role is $128,500 to $215,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
