Job Description:

The Department of Management and Marketing in the College of Business and Economics invites applications for a position in Management for a one-year, visiting appointment beginning August 2023. The AACSB-accredited College of Business and Economics offers an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with concentrations in six disciplines, including Marketing, as well as a fully online MBA program.

The ideal candidate will have had full-time work experience with responsibilities in a functional role related to supply chain management, therefore possessing an appreciation for and awareness of business practice. Further, the preferred candidate will have the ability to teach and work with midgrade and senior-level corporate and government service employees in future executive education offerings and professional development programs. The candidate will have the desire to actively engage in and lead general and applied research projects with the newly formed Commonwealth Center for Advanced Logistics Systems.



Requirements:

Candidates should have strong research interests in areas relating to one or more of the following: organizational behavior and/or human resources management. Teaching duties are flexible but may include: organizational behavior, managerial skills, human resources management, ethics, and other related courses.

A Ph.D. in Management from an AACSB-accredited program is required. Practical business experience is highly desirable. All applicants should have an established record of excellence teaching and research. Candidates with a Doctorate from a non-AACSB accredited institutions should be able to demonstrate the potential to meet AACSB criteria of being classified as Scholarly Academic/Academically Qualified (SA/AQ) as per the current definitions of the College of Business and Economics



Additional Information:

This is a full-time, non-tenure-track, instructional faculty position which will be a one-year, visiting appointment. Salary will be commensurate with credentials and experience. A successful criminal background investigation is required. AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and other national service alumni are encouraged to apply.
