Vice President of Consulting – Behavioral Health – This is a Travel Position
Horizon Health, the national leader in providing contract management and consulting to psychiatric programs in general acute care hospitals throughout the United States, is seeking a Vice President of Consulting.
This role will work closely with healthcare clients on a range of complex assignments. You will work in a team environment while using your independent judgment and critical thinking skills to gather data, frame situations and provide practical solutions to add value based on client needs. Depending on the client project, some of the responsibilities may typically include:
  • Assess, audit and review programs to identify opportunities
  • Leverage best practices to make program enhancement recommendations
  • Perform research and maintain knowledge on all regulations and statutes and manage large and complex projects to achieve all compliance objectives.
  • Drive end-to-end project management of consulting projects (from start to completion)
  • Perform small and large-scale audits of client reporting methods and processes to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Assess and redesign organizational workflows, policies, and procedures (P&Ps), reporting, and internal controls relating to a client’s behavioral health programs
  • Conduct client interviews to gain an understanding of and evaluate aspects of client situation and operations.

  • Effectively summarize, draw conclusions, and create recommendations from large data sets or analyses.
  • Lead various work streams within a project, including managing day to day engagement priorities with guidance from senior leaders.
  • Prepare client-ready deliverables and presentations, making presentations to clients.
  • Build relationships with clients and seek opportunities to expand the scope of business.
  • Support business development initiatives by assisting with the pitch preparation process and creation of marketing materials.
  • Works collaboratively with Client leadership to assure a high degree of client satisfaction, as measured by customer surveys
  • Prepares and presents high quality, detailed reports that describe recommendations for new program development or program enhancements
Working as a partner to our clients by building consultative relationships you will develop an in-depth understanding of the client’s processes, financial positions, and key clinical and operational performance drivers to surface and address key issues, from the big picture to the smallest details. Relying on your ability to communicate and problem solve, you will present your analyses and insights to a variety of audiences.
Must be located near major metro airport.

Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Mental Health Field; plus 5 years of clinical administrative experience in acute psychiatric setting; and a valid clinical license as a nurse, social worker or other clinical discipline.
Requires weekly travel to multiple client sites. Must be located near major metro airport. EOE
