We are looking to hire a Veterinarian Technician or Assistant for our growing practice. Lone Peak Veterinary Hospital is located in the beautiful resort community of Big Sky, MT and has been serving the community since 2017. We are a small animal hospital equipped with an in house lab, digital radiographs and ultrasound. The clinic performs surgeries, dentals, routine care and urgent care appointments. We focus on having a positive impact in our community with events, a non-profit assistance fund and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Professional and compassionate client communication
• Detailed and accurate record-keeping
• Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
• Diagnostic imaging
• Surgical assisting; preparing and maintaining the surgical environment
• Anesthesia monitoring and endotracheal intubation
• Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications, providing high quality physical and psychological needs of the patient during any visit
• Dental prophylaxis and radiographs.
• Pharmacy and pharmacology knowledge including: preparing and dispensing medications.
• Patient check in, vitals, exam assistance and discharge of patients

Position Requirements:

• Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well in a small team as well as work independently when needed
• Willingness to assist with the growth of the practice in a positive way
• Help with day-to-day hospital flow and efficiency
• Responsible for some reception duties such as triaging phone calls, making appointments, intake and discharging patients
• Previous experience preferred and preference given to licensed technicians.
• Perform other job duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
