Event Manager
Western Sky Wedding and Event Venue/Tejas Rodeo Company is looking for a new team member whose primary job will be to work and manage events. Our venues hosts all types of events including weddings, birthdays, fundraisers, galas, and corporate events. Our Event Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our venue on event days and ensuring clients and guests have a great experience. Event responsibilities vary but they should expect to do the following:
Event Days:
Arrive at the venue prior to the client’s arrival to ensure setup is correctly and cleaning crew successfully cleaned. Some touch up cleaning and/or re-arranging of tables and chairs may be needed.
Welcome client and vendors upon their arrival and answer any questions they may have throughout the day as well as assist with any needs.
Monitor the venue throughout the day and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Ensure bartenders arrive and set up on time.
Assist with bar setup.
Ensure security arrives.
Ensure catering is ready for food service and executes accordingly
Check restrooms and overall cleanliness of the venue throughout the event. Replenish paper products and touch up restrooms as needed. Work with catering team to ensure they are bussing tables, managing trash, mopping spills immediately, and that they stay throughout the event, removing any trash from venue along with other required responsibilities.
Ensure event ends and client, guests, vendors, and all items are removed from the venue on time.
Set out floor plan for cleaning and set up crew as needed.

Must be able to work flexible hours. Weekends are required - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability is a must.
