Valley Village | Part-Time Nanny Job at The Nanny Matchmaker

The Nanny Matchmaker Valley Village, CA 91607

GROUNDED | LOVING | RESPECTFUL

THE FAMILY | This loving and sweet Valley Village family is seeking a part-time, consistent nanny to help care for their toddler daughter while the mom run errands and the parents go for a weekly date night.

THE DAUGHTER | She is a bubbly, bright, and energetic 13-month-old. She recently started walking and all she wants to do is practice her new skill.

When she was a newborn, she experienced two unfortunate incidents and although she sustained no major damage, she cannot fall and hit her head again. It's vital the nanny solely focuses her attention on the daughter when they are together. The daughter naps throughout the day, so there will be pockets of time during each shift when she will be asleep and the nanny can support the family with a handful of her tasks. (Time permitting.)

Besides this, the daughter is healthy and happy. She does not have any known major allergies. She may have a mild reaction to coconut and cashews but nothing severe.

THE JOB DETAILS | Be a playful yet responsible and consistent playmate for the daughter while her mom focuses on errands or personal items. Partner with the mom on best practices and methods for her daughter and her overall well-being. Engage, play, practice, and develop her mind and skills as she grows.

The main focus is on the daughter and her overall well-being. If time allows and the daughter is napping, help with her laundry and light housekeeping that pertains to her care.

The family is looking to move homes in the next 30 to 60 days. They are looking at Burbank or Pasadena as potential locations.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE | Loves working with toddlers. Understands this age and can nurture the daughter's development in a safe but non-restricting way. Enjoys home-based age-appropriate activities. Has a basic understanding of child development and how to nurture and stimulate young minds. Reliable, patient, consistent, and communicative. Active and energetic.

Takes the initiative with play-based activities and engagement. Strong work ethic. Team player. Respects professional/personal boundaries. Strong command of English, written and verbal. Wants to commit to a part-time, consistent role.

THE REQUIREMENTS | Professional nanny experience - 10 or more years. Previous infant/toddler age experience. Potty training experience is a perk but not required. The nanny needs their own reliable means of transportation to and from work and possibly on-the-job driving. Long- term commitment - at least one year, ideally longer.

THE QUALIFICATIONS | Previous professional nanny experience. CPR/First Aid Certification in Pediatrics and Adults. Stellar references.
