Monday-Thursday, 3:00pm-1:30am
Overtime is worked on Fridays, 3:00pm-8:00pm or 3:00pm-1:30am
POSITION SUMMARY
Process and pack trim components and manufacture small parts as required.
POSITION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Process and pack trim components and manufacture small parts as required
  • Knowledge of the correct packing method (what parts should be robo-packed and/or crated)
  • Set up and operate chop saw, drill press, cope saws, small punch press, wire feed welder, robo pack and small hand tools as required. May also be required to set up and operate the square cut saw and the double head Emmegi saw. Weather sealing as required for trim components...head starters, sill starters, etc.
  • Read and understand prints, CTO-Pro View (Shop View), BOM+, Manufacturing Data Package, Epicor/MES and other supporting documentation
  • Maintain quality specifications and documentation, including first piece inspection and audits
  • Notify department leadership of shortage, quality issues or similar problems relating to the production process
  • Move completed parts to the proper staging areas
  • Layout work area in the most productive and efficient manner possible
  • Accurately and timely completion of required department documentation, both electronic and paper
  • Adhere to established safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all associates
  • Adhere to established policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Support and participate in Operational Excellence and process improvement initiatives
  • Proficient use of computer systems and intranet functions
  • Undertake job responsibilities in a manner of consistent with the company’s Core Values

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILL and KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to read and understand prints, die drawings and other supporting documentation
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Communicate effectively in a verbal and a written manner
  • Knowledge of window and curtainwall product and processes
  • Computer software proficiency in the following:
CTO-Pro View
Intranet
ERP software (Epicor/MES)
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Work quickly and accurately

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly required to stand, reach, bend, talk, hear and move about the facility. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
