BPX Logistics is excited to add a Terminal Manager to our Jacksonville Team!

The role of Terminal Manager will be filled in our Jacksonville Office (currently not able to be completed as in-home due to required interactions with drivers and co-workers). The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, between 7:30am and 5:00pm (unless work dictates additional time).

This opportunity would be a salary position, where experience and industry knowledge is heavily weighed.

This position will be required to complete the following:

• Lead, guide and direct employees and drivers to include setting goals, monitoring performance, providing coaching, counseling and development. Accountable for the management of an efficient, clean and safe intermodal operation
• Enforce understanding and compliance with all Company policies and procedures; safety rules and government regulations
• Develop and deliver internal and external strategies to provide superior service to customers.
• Support customer relationships, oversee profit and cost controls, and ensure safety, service, and quality measures are implemented, audited and monitored for corrections
• Oversee all terminal functions to include port, city operations and scheduling for all timely freight deliveries
• Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments such as safety, sales, claims, loss prevention, customer care, and fleet repair services
• Coordinate with Terminal Manager to investigate the source of customer complaints and respond accordingly to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement opportunities

The ideal candidate would possess the following skills:

• A minimum of 1 years management experience in the Intermodal industry preferred
• Must have good computer skills
• Proven leadership, team building and interpersonal relationship skills
• Excellent customer focus
• Possess excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
• Excellent planning and organization skills
• Ability to create, implement and monitor training programs
• Must have a strong work ethic and good problem solving skills
• Must be able to work any shift and in all areas relative to the needs of the terminal and in any weather condition
• Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job
• Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
• Must be able to interact well with others
• Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
• Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
• Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
