Join our Transportation Team as our Transportation Assistant for the upcoming season of Interlochen Arts Camp. Date of employment are 6/12/23-8/11/23. As the Transportation Porter, you will work to maintain the professional appearance of all Transportation/Campus Safety Vehicles and Busses. The hourly rate for this role is $13. A meal is included during every shift. Housing is available for $15/night in a shared living space, if you live more than 40 miles from campus. If you live on campus, all meals are provided.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Clean interior and exterior of assigned vehicles
  • Wax assigned vehicles
  • Check and maintain fluid levels in assigned vehicles
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area
  • Assist with luggage truck
  • Assist with golf cart maintenance
  • Be familiar with campus and event scheduling to keep appropriate equipment available for use

Experience and Skills:

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Various vehicle product knowledge beneficial
  • Ability to lift and carry 50-100 pounds on occasions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to accept responsibility and work without supervision.
  • Ability and willingness to work out of doors even during inclement weather
  • Ability to identify priorities based upon need
  • Ability to identify equipment needs
