Frostburg State University (FSU), Office of Admissions seeks applications for a full-time, exempt Transfer Coordinator position. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities: Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions, this position coordinates many aspects of the recruitment of undergraduate transfer students with the overall goal of increased enrollment and targeted communication. This position also serves as the primary resource for transfer credit policies for students, staff, faculty, external institutions, and the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC). This position will implement, administer, and monitor the Maryland Transfer for Success Act.

This position will manage a recruitment territory, including visits to community colleges, conducting presentations and information sessions, reviewing applications, and rendering appropriate admissions decisions and applying university policies. Coordinate the review of transfer credits and compliance with the state transfer credit regulations. Communicate with prospective students about attending FSU to encourage application and matriculation to the University. Answer questions and make department connections concerning academic offerings and extracurricular activities. Advise and inform students on choice of major and transferability of dual enrollment credits. Manage all student communication within official university channels and maintain records in TargetX and Mongoose. Assist with and implement recruiting functions for transfer students, including Saturday open houses and other related admissions events and visits. Monitor and provide guidance to Director of Admissions regarding institutional practices and policies impacting transfer students and to ensure the university remains compliant with legislative requirements. Prepare reporting needed for institutional and state requirements. Assist with other projects in the office as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, Two years of related admissions and/or transfer support experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Fluent in Spanish.
