Automaxx of the Carolinas is currently hiring for a full-time Driver Training Specialist / Driving Instructor to teach students how to safely drive a car in the Summerville, SC area. This position earns a competitive wage of $15 - $18/hour, depending on experience.

This flexible job allows you to set your own schedule!

As a Driver Training Specialist / Driving Instructor, you have the fulfilling job of helping others learn how to drive safely. As someone who has had their license for years, you're highly knowledgeable about traffic laws and regulations. You have a thorough understanding of how to safely operate a vehicle, and you're eager to share your expertise with others.

You love having a flexible job that allows you to set your own schedule. If you don't want to work Tuesdays, you don't have to! With our student portal, students are assigned to you and they can see the schedule you have created. You keep your schedule updated with your availability for the upcoming 6-8 weeks. As students sign up, your schedule fills up.

Your friendly, calm demeanor puts nervous students at ease as you offer guidance and feedback during the lesson. With safety as your top priority, you remain highly focused and level-headed. Under your patient and thorough instruction, students develop the skills and confidence they need to drive defensively. You feel great knowing that your teaching efforts enrich the lives of others!

REQUIREMENTS FOR A DRIVER TRAINING SPECIALIST / DRIVING INSTRUCTOR

• 10+ years of driving experience
• Good driving record for the past 5+ years
• Willingness to complete a 40+ hour training program and pass a state test before becoming a "Certified SC Licensed Driver Instructor"
• Valid driver's license
