What You’ll Do:

This is an entry-level position of general helper.

· Cleans any combination of the following: inside and outside of trailers, shop floor, equipment, and company units.

· Assists technicians with clean up or removal tasks.

· Drives company vehicles for needed pickup or drop offs or to wash bay.

· May log trailer numbers into a spreadsheet to track productivity.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

Education

· Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma.

Experience

· Experience in the transportation industry a plus.

Skills/Certifications

· Valid Driver’s license required.

· Ability to communicate well verbally.

· Basic English reading and writing skills including the ability to write legibly.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements –Repair Shop Settings.

The physical requirements for this position match the needs of a well-lit and well-ventilated repair shop environment. Candidates for this role should be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, extensively work with their hands, and communicate verbally with their teammates.

Work Environment: Will work in infrequent temperature and humidity extremes up to 100% of work day (this includes working outside/inside, in docks, and in Distribution Centers); will work on computer and use phones 5% of less of work day; operates the company vehicle up to 95% of work day.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; frequently stands, walks, uses hands to finger, handle or feel; and reaches with hands and arms.

· Must be able to stand frequently with use of full body weight.

· Must be able to walk at least 1000 feet within a work day.

· Occasional sitting when driving trucks.

· Must be able to reach at least 72 inches frequently and across midline.

· Have constant grip and feeling when handling and carrying items or equipment.

· Must be able to crouch, squat or kneel to a minimum height of 18 inches.

· Must be able to crawl and stoop under a minimum height of 44 inches.

· Must have good and constant balance with no impairments.

· Must have ability to climb up to 51 inches with use of one 24inch step and pull of full body weight.

· Must be able to occasionally have to walk up and down a ramp.

· Must be able to climb at least 12 stairs at a time with use of a hand rail.

· Must be able to climb a ladder with 12inch steps with use of upper body pull.

· Will need constant use of hands, arms, legs, and feet.

· Must be able to lift items up to 75 pounds and lower items up to 51 pounds. This includes high lifts up to 54 inches and medium lifts up to 36 inches.

· Must be able to carry up to 75 pounds when needed and up to 100 feet.

· Must be able to push up to 50 pounds and pull up to 120 pounds.

· May be exposed to infrequent vibrations and stressful traffic conditions.

· Will infrequently be exposed to heights, confined spaces, and at heights between 6-9 feet.

· Must be able to endure periodic medium to heavy physical activity, exposure to temperature and humidity extremes and cardiovascular fitness with reasonable accommodation.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
