Job Summary: Assist Tooling Manager and Supervisor in supervising and coordinating activities of tool and die
makers.

Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with additional vocational training required.
  • 2 years of related Die Maintenance experience
  • Ability to use various measuring equipment such as callipers and micrometers
  • Operate all die room equipment
  • Good math, reading and communication skills.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to use various measuring equipment such as callipers and micrometers
Essential Functions:
  • Performs the functions of a Supervisor when he/she is absent.
  • Make recommendations to Supervisor about needed training, employee coaching or disciplinary actions, or other
problem areas within the team.
  • Understands assigned team project and tracks current status.
  • Reports status to Supervisor or Manager.
  • Keep assigned due dates.
  • Prepares teammates, materials, and dies for assigned project work.
  • Communicate with team members and determine assignments for each to accomplish project.
  • Ensures shift-to-shift communication is accomplished about assigned project.
  • Communicates any problems or misunderstanding with Supervisor or Group Leader.
  • Reports any broken tools or machines in need of repair.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 :2015
  • Provides communication to team members about maintaining quality standards, time goals, and safety habits.

Physical Demands/ Work Environment:
  • Constant communication with employees, peers, and management.
  • Frequent distractions and interruptions
  • Multiple demands in a challenging and fast paced- team orientated environment
  • Noisy environment
  • Overtime as required.
  • Office, Plant floor
  • Travel as required

Health and Safety:
  • Compliance with Occupational safety sections of Act.
  • Must report all accidents and near misses to your Supervisor
  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and
procedures.
