About the Tire Technician Position

As a Tire Technician with First Vehicle Services, you will help maintain and repair tires on automotive, light trucks, and heavy trucks and equipment to ensure vehicle readiness & safety. Other major job duties include:

• Raise vehicles using hydraulic jacks
• Inspect tire casings for defects, such as holes and tears.
• Seal punctures in tubeless tires
• Identify and inflate tires correctly
• Remount wheels onto vehicles.
• Assist with Road Calls after hours as necessary.
• Place wheels on balancing machines to determine counterweights required to balance wheels.
• Replace valve stems and remove puncturing objects.
• Torque lug nuts to manufacturer specifications

Tire Technician Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required; Willingness to obtain CDL while employed – We train!
• At least 1 year of experience or technical school education
• Possess a mechanic’s tool set
• Willingness to participate in the ASE certification program. Training, testing, and bonuses are provided!
• Subject to a drug test.
