Harmony Behavioral Health Center provides evaluations, assessments, and/or treatment for adults with behavioral health problems. Harmony Behavioral Health Center provides different levels of treatment options in the continuum of care to ensure the needs of patients are met. Harmony Behavioral Health Center creates a therapeutic milieu as an essential element of care. HIRING FOR BATON ROUGE AND SURROUNDING AREAS (Zachary, Baker, Clinton, Slaughter, Ethel and MISSISSIPPI.)

We're currently in need of compassionate and nurturing therapists with a passion for providing patients with exceptional psychiatric treatment. MUST HAVE BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN THERAPEUTIC RECREATION AND/OR CERTIFICATION THROUGH NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR THERAPEUTIC RECREATION.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.
• Maintain and order appropriate materials and supplies for interventions.
• Educate patients progress and success of diversional therapy interventions.
• Educate patients about resources and theraputic recreational or leisure activities in the community.
• Plan and implement group sessions for each population.
• Schedule and lead specialized programs allowing participants ro engage in exercise and recreation, supporting social and physical wellbeing.
• Instruct patients in activities and trechniques such as dance, music or art designed to meet specific physical or psychological needs.
• Observe, analyze and record patient progress during treatment sessions, modifying treatment programs.
• Conduct patient evaluations to identify mental, emotional, social and physical aptitudes, assess abilities and identify conditions suitable for recreational interventions.
