Terminal Operator Job at Chevron

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Terminal Operator located in Galena Park, Texas until March 10th at 11.59pm.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all work performed adheres to Chevron's Operational standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform all work activities safely to meet commitments related to terminal operations.

  • Work closely with and take direction from the head operator.

  • May coordinate with supply schedules, suppliers, transporters and the refinery.

  • Performs inspections and maintenance to ensure proper operation and environmental integrity.

  • Execute the terminals preventative maintenance program.

  • Perform activities serving the tank truck loading rack, tank farm and terminal control room.

  • Maintain Terminal records and inventory.

  • Assure compliance with all operating procedures, operating requirements for anyone entering the facility.

  • Assist in training contractor and drivers on AHAS and SWP's as directed.

  • Perform various terminal tasks that may come up in the course and scope of a plant operator's job.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 2 years of any type of work experience (Military counts as work experience).

  • Ability to perform maintenance repairs. Mechanical aptitude.

  • Work rotating shifts, on-call shifts, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime to support terminal operations.

  • Ability to work with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors and customers.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and work with minimal supervision.

  • Able to operate sophisticated computer systems.

  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the job including climbing stairs, working at heights above 20 ft. and lift 35 pounds.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to receive a TWIC Card.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of work experience in petrochemical or petroleum products.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Relocation will be considered.

Expatriates will not be considered.
