RVS invites applications for a term, full-time (35 hrs/wk) Child Development Advisor position starting immediately and ending June 3, 2024 at Northcott Prairie School. Northcott Prairie School, located in the City of Airdrie, and serves students from grades K-8. Information regarding this school may be found at https://northcott.rockyview.ab.ca/.
- Assists teachers in the collection of data on individuals or groups of students for program planning
- Conducts observations within the classroom and school and works with appropriate personnel to develop a student behaviour plan
- Liaises between school staff members, the home and external agencies
- Provides support to families and assists in parent education programs
- Liaises with parents and makes referrals to community and social service agencies with direction from school administration
- Child and Youth Care Diploma with preference of a university degree in a related field
- Ability to meet the qualification and competency requirements established by Alberta Learning
- Minimum of three years related experience with a college level education or a minimum one year experience with a university degree
- Experience/training with behaviour modification
