  • Universal Bankers (SA) devote much of the day to building long term relationships with customers in person and by phone and process transactions in an efficient manner and in accordance with our established teller policies and procedures.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES


The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.


  • Meets sales and referral goals by proactively acquiring new customer relationships by making presentations, leveraging centers of influence and through outbound calling
  • Uses profiling methods to uncover and understand the customer’s financial needs, to find solutions to cross sell based on need and refer customers to bank partners for specialized products and services
  • Provides world-class customer service and creates a positive banking experience
  • Works with customers to resolve customer service issues
  • Performs various account maintenance
  • Opens new consumer and business accounts
  • Processes consumer loans
  • Assists with teller transactions and/or customer interactions, as needed
  • Complies with all federal and state laws and regulations, and all established bank policies and procedures
  • Maintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML
  • Offers world-class customer service and greet every customer in a way that makes them feel welcome
  • Builds effective rapport with each customer to uncover additional products and services to meet the customer’s needs and to achieve personal sales goals
  • Complies with all federal and state laws and regulations, and all established bank policies and procedures


QUALIFICATIONS


These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of sales and service experience
  • Minimum of six months of previous experience working as a Personal Banker or Teller
  • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills are essential
  • Experience using personal computers, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of mental concentration
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as scheduled Monday through Friday, and Saturday rotation (hours will fluctuate as business needs dictate)
  • Banking experience is desired
  • Prior cash handling experience is preferred
  • High level customer sales and service experience is desired
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired
