• Help simplify “cloud at liberty” by building tools and content to rapidly onboard and up-skill our engineers
• Enable resilience in the cloud by building cloud native high-availability patterns and consulting application teams on their resiliency journey
• Identify trends in the cloud industry and evaluate new tools and services through POCs and conversations with teams/cloud vendors
• Observe our cloud environments and identify and implement operational and cost-saving measures
• Establish migration paths for legacy technology into target state architecture
• Support application teams with cloud issues proactively and reactively

• Works with other Technology Architects, Managers, and Product Owners to design solutions and drive work for the larger team
• Collaborates across the organization to drive reusable solutions within and beyond GRS
• Mentors other engineers on the team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical discipline; 8+ years of experience in application development
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
• Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly
• Comfortable working in ambiguity and brainstorming new ideas
• Deep knowledge of at least one cloud provider, AWS or Azure
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code technologies, specifically CloudFormation, CDK, and ARM
• Strong consulting skills (relevant/technical); recognized as a thought leader within the company
• Strong hands-on development skills
