HCA Florida West Marion Hospital, A Part of HCA Florida Ocala Hospital opened in 2002 to meet the healthcare needs of the growing population of West Marion County. Our 186-bed hospital features all private rooms and offers a full-service emergency room, as well as Marion County's only inpatient Orthopedic Joint Care Center.Our medical services include an array of surgical procedures, radiological services, urologic treatments, inpatient wound care for chronic wounds and a variety of outpatient services.
Ocala Health encompasses HCA Florida Ocala Hospital, a 288-bed facility located in the heart of Ocala, and West Marion Hospital, a 186-bed hospital located in west Marion County, Summerfield ER, a freestanding emergency department located in southern Marion County, Maricamp ER, a freestanding emergency department located on Maricamp Road in Ocala, and Trailwinds Village ER, a freestanding emergency department located on 466A in Wildwood. HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is a Level II Trauma Center and the region's only Comprehensive Stroke Center. The hospitals offer a host of other quality and award winning services including orthopedic care and joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac and vascular services including open heart surgery and interventional procedures, emergency, neurological and rehabilitation services, and bariatric surgery. Ocala Health has the only Commission on Cancer approved cancer center in Marion County. Ocala Health's outpatient facilities include Family Care Specialists, a primary care network of six locations throughout Marion County; Advanced Imaging Centers; a freestanding Wound and Hyperbaric Center; a Senior Wellness Community Center; and three surgical and physician specialty practices.

Position Summary:
To perform and develop expertise in a range of highly specialized cardiac ultrasound investigations, including transthoracic echocardiograms, dobutamine/exercise stress echocardiograms, and assist with Trans esophageal echocardiograms (TEE) performing accurate and reproducible measurements and quantification. Demonstrates the ability to understand different age populations and cultural differences to effectively assess and meet those patient specific needs. Communicate effectively with fellow staff members, patients and physicians.

Education
Vocational or 2 year Associates Degree required.

BLS
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
Experience
Less than one year of imaging experience required. 1-3 years of imaging experience preferred.
