We are searching for a Technical Writer to join the ESCO Technologies team. This individual is responsible for contributing to the success of projects through effective Project Management with clear, detailed recorded communication connecting all parties internal and external in order to result in a compliant, well-functioning, innovative and on time systems to achieve customer satisfaction in line with Esco business objectives. Schedule management is a key part of the role especially for projects with liquidated damages on late delivery, therefore reporting and mitigation of delays is important to feed to all stakeholders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work at all times in a manner which gives the highest consideration to safety, as defined by local regulations and Company procedures, this includes the use of PPE;
  • Work with suppliers, contractors and clients to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintaining the highest levels of business ethics is imperative. Clear, accurate transmittal of knowledge / data between clients, cross functional teams and management.
  • Apply robust document control & review process of all technical documents such as DS/FS/FAT/IOQ
  • Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation from sales documents/vendor bid packages
  • Study products and communicate with engineering team to determine needs of the end user.
  • Documentation: Review of Design & Functional Specifications, O&M Manuals, Technical Files, works instructions and validation documentation. Hand-over documentation pack and presentation to production to allow sufficient transfer of data and knowledge for the manufacture and assembly of the new product.
  • Work with technical staff to make products easier to use and thus need fewer instructions
  • Organize and write supporting documents for products such as Operation & Maintenance Manuals/IQ & OQ documentation.
  • Assist engineering team to improve format of DS/FS/FDS documents
  • Use of photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation and charts that increase users’ understanding
  • Standardize content across platforms and media
  • Revise documents as new issues arise and maintain revision control
  • Create operating instructions, how-to manuals, assembly instructions, and “frequently asked questions” pages to help technical support staff, customers, and other users within a company or an industry. After a product is released, work with customer service manager to improve end-user experience through product design changes.
  • Work with site support specialists and software developers to manage the flow of information among project workgroups during development and testing.
  • Serve as part of a team, conducting usability studies to help improve the design of standard products.
  • Understand requirements for Aseptic and Non-Aseptic Isolator Systems and their construction and purpose in detail to ensure proficient customer communication.

SKILLS REQUIREMENT:

Experience in Technical Writing including:
  • Control and review of documents.
  • Formatting and standardization of documents.
  • Ability to understand complex information and communicate the information to people with diverse professional backgrounds.
  • Good working attitude, detail oriented, adaptability and willingness to learn.
  • Abiity to manage own workload and handling of multiple projects in parallel.

Additional Requirements, including:
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and equipment function and requirements.
  • Learn Industry guidelines & regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written ability in English.
  • Ability to form strong working relationships with clients whilst looking after own company’s interests.
  • In depth MS Word/Excel skills.
