General Responsibilities

As a Taper Associate is steady and fast paced position during the busy back to school season. The Taper is responsible for securing cartons on up to 7 packing lines at a time. You are responsible for each tape machine and for maintaining a clean and safe work environment at each station.

Some of the things you’ll be doing

· Once the Packer fills each carton with product, the Taper Associate will then tape each carton with the accurate length tape

· Ensures the water bottle on each tape machine maintains an adequate water level

· Clean brushes on machines

· Make sure that each station remains stocked with cartons and other shipping supplies

· Stack cartons on conveyor and never allow the conveyor to continuously run

· Sweep and clean each taping station. Pick up debris in area and walkways and take out trash

Some of the qualities you possess

· Positive attitude and strong work ethic

· Basic Mathematical skills

· The use of basic hand tools requiring physical dexterity and mobility

· Handle pallets truck for loads exceeding carrying weight

· Bending, squatting, sitting, climbing

· The ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
