Requirements:
Job Summary:
Tank Washers are responsible for conducting safety inspections and light maintenance to assure the trailers operates safely on the interstate roadways. They are responsible for ensuring that tanks are washed in a consistent manner as outlined in the Conversion Tank Wash procedures. The end result should ensure a quality product that is certified as clean, dry, and odor free.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
This job includes the following duties and any other as assigned by current Manager:
Perform safety inspections of trailer lighting components, brakes, filters, and suspension.
Perform light maintenance on trailer as needed.
Contact Manager to refer significant trailer problems to maintenance. Perform safety inspections of tires.
Complete Report to Management for tire replacement.
Check tire pressure and inflate tires to specified PSI.
Clean filters, replace if necessary, on trailer and blower to prevent fires and contaminations.
Perform internal and external tank trailer cleaning. Report fresh trailer damage to Manager. Inspect and maintain fall protection system.
Perform safety inspections of each service vehicle at least twice each day.
Maintain clean work areas and clean vehicles and property as directed by the Manager.
Perform maintenance on tank wash equipment, (pumps, dryers, blowers, hoses, wands, spinners, screens, etc.).
Ensure all Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures are followed and forms completed.
Perform safety inspections and maintain product hoses.
Follow procedure for disposing of or prepping hoses for rebuild. (Cutting off reusable fittings and sending them for rebuild or cutting off bad ends and prepping hoses for rebuild).
Position Responsibilities:
