The Archdiocese of Baltimore, located at the Catholic Center, is seeking candidates for a Talent Acquisition Manager.

The Talent Acquisition Manager works in a high volume matrixed environment with multiple locations to set, drive and ensure the implementation of a sustainable talent acquisition and retention strategy for the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

Essential Functions:

In collaboration with the internal HR team and hiring managers, researches and forecasts hiring trends and current and future hiring needs

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with senior Archdiocesan leaders, department heads, principals, pastors, and other hiring managers to understand current and future staffing needs
  • Develops and implements creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified and diverse candidates, including but not limited to: job posting optimization, job board procurement, digital and non-digital employment marketing, recruitment campaign planning, social media, internet sourcing, internship programs, and college recruiting
  • Develops relationships with third-party recruitment agencies, staffing firms and college campuses; monitors effectiveness of each relationship based upon key performance indicators such as time-to-fill and retention metrics.
  • Works with internal marketing and communications partners to develop employer branding; motivates employees to serve as brand ambassadors through employee referral programs
  • Researches and analyzes turnover trends, D & I recruitment methods and proposes new retention methods, strategies, and programs
  • Develops and monitors key performance indicators for recruiting efforts, including time-to-fill and cost-per-hire

Partners with hiring managers to fill open positions

  • Collaborate with Principals, Parish staff and hiring managers to discuss position requirements, recruitment strategies and available budget. Draft job descriptions for review.
  • Coordinate and support the sourcing and job posting process.
  • Review submitted resumes for alignment with required qualifications; forward resumes of qualified applicants to hiring managers and to designated colleagues in the Department of Schools.
  • Assists with the Search Process for School Leaders, primarily Principals and Presidents
  • Serve as Department lead in use of and training in applicant tracking system/HRMS

Job Requirements:

Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required; Master’s degree preferred
    • Minimum five years’ experience working as a Talent Acquisition Manager, Specialist, Recruiter or Recruiting Manager, or similar position

Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

  • Knowledge of the mission of Catholic education
  • Working knowledge of full-cycle recruitment processes and employer branding techniques for recruiting and retention purposes
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong supervisory and management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
  • Experience in establishing and managing to key performance indicators
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with applicant-tracking software, HRMS systems (UKG, Career Builder)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, or related software.
