ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be a member of our multi-disciplinary sustainability team, collaborating with design and technical leadership as an integral part of project teams across the firm. Under the direct supervision of our sustainability leadership, the primary responsibilities will include the following:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Manage/coordinate sustainable design strategies for multiple institutional and commercial building design and construction projects.
  • Manage/produce the documentation process for rating systems and standards, primarily LEED.
  • Participate in the sustainable design process by hosting workshops, design charrettes, stakeholder engagement etc.
  • Research materials, systems, and approaches to improve the health and wellness of our projects.
  • Participate in design team and client meetings.
  • Perform conceptual environmental impact, energy and lifecycle analyses.
  • May visit job site to verify conditions and document construction for LEED and other requirements. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site.
  • May perform related duties as required.
ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor of Architecture, Engineering, or Sustainability related degree. Masters degree is preferred.
  • LEED GA or above is preferred.
  • A sustainability portfolio is essential as are strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple projects.
  • Experience with environmental, energy and life cycle analysis software preferred.
  • Ability to use Grasshopper, Honeybee, Ladybug, GIS and Climate Consultant is a plus

The salary range for this position to be filled in a California office is $26.50 - $28.85 an hour. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances. We have paid time off, flex-time summer hours, remote work options and a 401k plan and employee perk programs.
