Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide technical support to the Surveillance Department relative to the installation, repair, and maintenance of the surveillance equipment and network.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

> All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa’s Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and any other related training
> Consistently ensures an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the property, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner
> Responsible for the installation and termination of cabling including; audio/visual, low voltage, and fiber optic
> Responsible for support and installation of all surveillance cameras
> Set-up and maintain new users on the LAN
> Test and configure surveillance software
> Maintain and repair surveillance hardware and peripheral devices
> Document, diagnose, monitor, track, and resolve problems on multiple networks and multiple Kiowa Casinos properties while keeping management informed of the status
> Assist with major/minor surveillance projects
> Complete all assigned projects promptly
> Provides technical back-up for essential duties of the Surveillance Leadership Team
> Provide users with technical support and training
> Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures to maintain NIGC compliance
> Must be able to document malfunctions and correspond to proper departments/entities about delays and changes to the surveillance system to maintain NIGC compliance
> Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the Kiowa Casinos and the Surveillance Department
> Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on all casino surveillance equipment
> All other duties as assigned
> Must adhere to departmental, organizational, state, and federal safety rules and regulations, applicable processes for safe operation, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, in addition to any/all related controls for personal welfare, and the safety of others

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)

SPECIFICS REQUIRED:
> High school diploma or GED required
> At least 21 years of age
> Associates Degree in a Communication or IT related field
-Or-
> Two years of applicable work-related experience
> Possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record

PREFERRED:
> Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field
> Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gaming operations
> Practical experience in the area of Cisco hardware administration
> Knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP protocols, and network technologies

SKILLS REQUIRED:
> Strong computer skills with experience in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets
> Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills
> Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities

Physical Demands / Work Environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The Surveillance Technician must be able to operate computer equipment for extended periods. The Surveillance Technician must be able to stand and sit for an extended period. The Surveillance Technician will often lift and move up to 50 pounds. The Surveillance Technician must be comfortable working at elevated heights through the use of scissor lifts and boom lifts.

WORKING ENVIROMENT: The Surveillance Technician will be working in an office, gaming floor, convention center, and outside environment, including flashing lights, frequent loud noises, cigarette smoke, and stressful situations. Depending on Kiowa Casinos’ needs, the Surveillance Technician may be asked to work in the rain, snow, heat, or freezing temperatures for extended periods. The Surveillance Technician will be exposed to electrical and other potential hazards. The Surveillance Technician will have extensive exposure to computer. Surveillance Technician must be flexible with work schedule, and be willing to work any hours and shift, as assigned, according to business needs.
