Responsibilities
Position Summary
- Responsible for cost effective procurement of supplies for Surgical Services.
- Adjusts and maintains par levels on all disposable, coordinates/conducts annual inventory.
- Procures and insures timely arrival of implantable devices, "special" and non- stock items.
- Maintains consignment inventory, conducts routine purchasing, triage information from medical sales representatives, and initiates purchase orders and reports. Liaison with physicians, purchasing and warehouse in conjunction with materials control and Director.
- Orders all instrumentation and equipment, repairs.
- Assists with capital budget development and monthly variance reporting.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Strong computer skills and office skills
- Inventory and purchasing background
- Medical terminology
- Strong verbal skills
Education
- High school graduate or equivalent
Preferred
- Experience as a Surg Tech
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Knowledge with Excel, Lawson, Meditech or other hospital based inventory software applications
- Accounting or small business operational experience

$25.82 - $34.75 /hour
