POSITION SUMMARY
3rd Shift Supervisor- 65k-80k annually- depending on experience
The Supervisor – Production effectively leads the production team to achieve production targets with a goal of continuously improving efficiency, accuracy, cost, safety and customer satisfaction. This role partners with various departments and teams to work collaboratively in managing production projects and ensuring strategic goals are met and exceeded.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees all aspects of production on third shift.
- Responsible for ensuring operators are thoroughly trained in operations and safety.
- Recommends improvements to production processes and equipment.
- Assesses talent and recommends employees for advancement.
- Communicates regularly with all employees on the shift to update them on policies, company news, events, etc.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment
- Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; enforcing policies, and procedures.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employee(s) to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Direct reports include supervisors, group leads and hourly employees.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years in a supervisory role
- Proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, & planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization.
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
