Job Description:
The main function of a Supply Chain Planner is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. A typical Supply Chain Planner is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc.

Business group - WTP - Direct Warranty

Purpose of this team - What we do is essentially part for plan for spare parts at the data center. So that if there is a break fix.

Surrounding team key projects - Supporting Planning and PM activities for the DW program - two positions that we're seeking one of the contractors would be supporting the planning side of the business. The other contractor would be supporting life cycle management. But the nature of the work will be very similar.

  • Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm - 15% meetings, 70% heads down working with spreadsheets in Excel, 15% PM type work driving actions within Org.
Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy and conformation to standards and specifications.
  • Review and approve documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.
  • Confer with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
  • Revise production schedule, when required, due to design changes, labor or material shortages or other interruptions.
  • * Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments.
  • Confer with establishment personnel, vendors and customers to coordinate production and shipping activities and resolve complaints or eliminate delays.

  • Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor and materials.
  • Strong ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • 10+ years related experience required.
Expected working hours M-F PST 40 hours week Will need to be flexible when working with different time zones as needed occasionally

Degrees or certifications required bachelors degree.

Disqualifiers Looking for supply chain experience (Preferably in the electronic hardware industry.) Must be flexible and support different times zones if needed.

Best vs. Average Experienced, someone who can come and hit the ground running, help us with a lot of manual work associated with some purchase order exceptions someone who's experienced with Excel spreadsheets, working with merging. Great verbal and written communication skills, Presentation skills
