JOB DESCRIPTION

The Supervisor Producer Compensation will be responsible for supervising day-to-day operations of the producer compensation department including producer record and relationship management, compensation calculations and reconciliation, payments, general ledger account reconciliation and posting of broker expense and licensing fees and reporting. The supervisor will ensure that the company producer compensation are accurate and in compliance with state and federal regulations and internal policies and procedures. The supervisor will track, review and report on monthly key performance metrics, provide backup support and participate in developing and testing system maintenance and enhancements. The supervisor will train, coach and develop staff, evaluate performance and establish annual goals and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees and supervises the daily activities of the producer compensation staff including reviewing and approving employee work products and analyzing group workloads. Supervises staff to ensure work is completed in a timely and accurate manner and supervises the workflows to minimize overtime requirements.
  • Manages and develops producer compensation staff to achieve departmental objectives including determining staffing needs, setting goals, interviewing, selecting, coaching and evaluating the performance of all direct reports.
  • Ensures staff is trained and works with leads or department trainer to develop written training materials and desk level procedures as it relates to producer compensation and ensures that documentation is current.
  • Improves and enhances the producer record and relationship management and compensation processes to achieve costs savings opportunities.
  • Facilitates resolution of escalated producer record or compensation problems or issues.
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments to ensure efficient flow of information and prepares presentations to communicate processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with enterprise departments and serve as subject matter expert for all related inquiries.
  • Assists with DOI and external/internal audit requests by compiling and validating information.
  • Prepares and reviews daily and monthly production reports. Prepares ad-hoc management reports.
  • Participates in system maintenance and upgrade testing.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in commissions and/or accounting preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proven commitment to excellence in customer services.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced analytical, problem solving and reasoning skills with the ability to formulate and communicate recommendations for improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications such as: Excel (Intermediate), Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams.
  • Ability to prioritize work, follow-up on commitments on a timely basis, work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while having strong teaming skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively with producers, management, staff and other business partners.
  • Knowledge and application of English grammar including composition, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge and understanding of end to end process: producer licensing, credentialing, appointments and compensation.
  • Knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger processes and procedures.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $70,000 - $146,600
