JOB TITLE: Snack Bar Attendant
DEPARTMENT: Beach Club – Food & Beverage
COMPENSATION: Non-Exempt (overtime eligible), hourly compensation, $15.00-$15.77/hour commensurate with experience
Please note: Per New York State law, in order to be legally authorized for employment, all Minors must obtain and provide their Student General Employment Certificate (Working Papers) prior to beginning their first day of employment and to be kept on file for the duration of their employment.
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for serving food and beverage products to Members and guests, and for providing a superior customer service to experience to all visitors of the Beach Club Snack Bar.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet members and guests and responds to all questions and concerns, offering assistance when needed
- Assist Members and guests in food and beverage selection by describing special offerings or menu changes, answering food preparation questions, recording member/guest selections and upselling where possible
- Relay orders to kitchen or prepares food directly, identifies any special requests
- Deliver completed orders to customers, providing appropriate accompaniments or garnishes
- Ensure that all orders meet proper presentation and quality standards, packages take-out orders as needed
- Provide Members and guests with efficient food service by maintaining attractively merchandised display foods, clean tables, counters, dishes, chairs, floors and equipment, sufficient levels of inventory in storage rooms and refrigerators, proper temperatures in refrigerators and coolers, proper safety, sanitation and food handling standards
- Clean Snack Shop/Ice Cream Shop/preparation/serving equipment
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding attendance, timekeeping, dress code and safety
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
- Minimum age requirement: 14 per NYS Department of Labor Minor Law guidelines
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment, preferably in golf/hospitality/service industry, a plus
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently
- Knowledge of proper food preparation, storage and sanitation requirements
- Reliable transportation is a plus
